Cookie Notice

Last updated 13 August 2026

YourCarBid keeps browser storage to the minimum required to run an auction securely. This notice lists what we set and why.

1. Strictly necessary storage

These cannot be switched off without breaking the platform. They carry no advertising identifiers.

  • Authentication session: keeps you signed in and authorises your requests. Stored in your browser and refreshed while you remain active.
  • Post sign-in redirect: remembers the page you were heading to when you signed in. Cleared immediately after use.
  • Security and abuse prevention: request-rate records used to stop automated abuse of VIN lookups and bidding.

2. Functional storage

Used to remember interface state such as a partially completed listing draft or a dealer's buying criteria, so you do not lose work between sessions.

3. Analytics

We use aggregate, first-party analytics to understand which pages are used and where sellers drop out of the listing flow. These records are not used to build advertising profiles and are not sold.

4. Advertising and cross-site tracking

We do not set third-party advertising cookies and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as defined under the CPRA.

5. Controlling cookies

You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary storage will prevent you from signing in, publishing a listing or placing a bid.
