1. What YourCarBid is

YourCarBid operates a marketplace on which a private vehicle owner can invite verified licensed dealerships to bid competitively for their vehicle. We are not a party to the sale of your vehicle. The sale is between you and the winning dealership; we facilitate the auction, the documentation and the coordination of payment, transportation and title.

2. Eligibility

Sellers must be at least 18 years old, be the registered owner or a person legally authorised to sell the vehicle, and be able to transfer clear title. Dealers must hold a current dealer licence in the state in which they operate and must complete our verification process before bidding.

3. Seller disclosures and attestations

You must describe the vehicle accurately. Before publishing you attest that the odometer reading is accurate to the best of your knowledge and has not been altered, and that the title status and any lien payoff you have disclosed are accurate.

Accurate disclosure is what makes a winning bid binding. Materially inaccurate or omitted disclosures may result in arbitration, cancellation of the transaction or removal from the platform.

4. Reserve price and accepting a bid

You set a reserve price, which is never shown to dealers. When an auction closes you decide whether to accept the winning bid. You are under no obligation to accept and there is no charge for declining.

Once you accept, the price is binding on both parties against the condition you disclosed. A dealership may only seek an adjustment through the arbitration process described in our arbitration policy.

5. Bidding rules for dealers

A bid is a binding commitment to purchase the vehicle at that price if it wins and the seller accepts, subject only to arbitration on material undisclosed condition. Bids inside the anti-sniping window extend the auction. Proxy bids execute automatically up to the maximum you set.

Bid retraction is available only within the published grace period and is recorded against the dealership's conduct score. Repeated retraction, non-completion or slow payment can result in suspension.

6. Fees

Sellers pay nothing to list a vehicle, run an auction or complete a sale. The winning dealership pays a single acquisition fee determined by the vehicle's sale price tier, as published on our pricing page. Transportation, if arranged through the platform, is quoted separately before close.

7. Lien payoff and title

Where a lien exists, the payoff is settled from the sale proceeds and the balance is paid to you. Title processing timelines depend on your state and lien holder. We coordinate this process; we do not guarantee the timing of a third-party lien holder or motor vehicle agency.

8. Prohibited conduct

The following will result in removal from the platform.

• Bidding on your own vehicle, or arranging for another party to do so, to inflate the price.
• Coordinating with other dealerships to suppress bidding.
• Contacting a counterparty outside the platform to circumvent fees or the binding-bid rules.
• Uploading photographs that do not depict the vehicle being sold, or misrepresenting mileage or title status.
• Automated scraping of listings, valuations or bid data.

9. Valuations are estimates

Estimated auction ranges, wholesale benchmarks, retail estimates and Buy Scores are modeled from comparable sales and depreciation curves. They are informational estimates, not offers, appraisals or guarantees of price.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The platform is provided on an as-is basis. We do not warrant the condition, title or fitness of any vehicle listed, nor the performance of any dealership or seller. To the maximum extent permitted by law our aggregate liability arising out of your use of the platform is limited to the fees you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

11. Disputes and governing law

Vehicle condition disputes between a seller and a dealership are handled under our arbitration policy. Disputes with YourCarBid itself are governed by the laws of the State of California, and you and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California.

12. Changes and contact
